
Martin Sušnik
Tenor Martin Sušnik was born in Australia but lives and studied in Slovenia. He completed the study of singing with highest honor (summa cum laude) in Ljubljana Academy of Music in class of prof. Pia Brodnik and received two special awards from the Ljubljana University for his outstanding achievements.
He successfully attended many competitions in Slovenia and abroad and won many gold awards. With his repertoire covering opera, oratorio, masses and songs he performed on many European opera and concert stages including Opera Comique in Paris, Opera Royal in Versailles, Teatro Verdi Trieste, Festival Verdi in Busseto, Luglio Festival Trapanese in Trapani, Opera Center Galina Vishnevskaya in Moscow, Croatian National Opera in Zagreb, Split and Rijeka and National Opera Ljubljana. At this moment he is a part of the soloist ensemble in Maribor Opera house. His repertoire covers more than twenty-five roles from lyrical tenor repertoire such as Faust (Faust), Rodolfo (La Boheme), Alfredo (La Traviata), Duca (Rigoletto), Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Ernesto (Don Pasquale), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Belmonte (Die entführung aus dem Serail), Elvino (La sonnambula), Lindoro (L’italiana in Algeri), Il Conte d’Almaviva (Il Barbiere di Siviglia)…
